Paramount Adult Education Center believes that education is the foundation for the future strength of the community. PAEC strives to meet student and community expectations by providing varied programs that help students reach their goals.

The philosophy of Paramount Adult Education Center is a belief in the importance of fostering students' life-long learning, and self worth, PAEC believes that the improvement of individual skills and abilities is best achieved in an academic environment characterized by high expectations for success in the workplace, as parents, and in the community. We are committed to responding to the diverse learning styles, abilities, needs, and circumstances of each student.

The English as a Second Language program is an introduction to and practice of listening, speaking, reading, and writing English. The focus is on using English for everyday conversation, to prepare for work or school, and for real life needs.

Upon completion of the ESL program, many students begin working on their GED or High School Diploma. Students must first take a placement test that determines their reading comprehension ability. All HSD classes are offered in an individualized learning lab or through Independent Study.
