The mission of the Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education program is high achievement for all learners. We endeavor every day to help our students become effective users of technology, effective communicators, active, self-motivated life-long learners and self-actualized individuals.

Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education (BPACE) is located in Los Angeles County and serves Baldwin Park and the San Gabriel Valley. BPACE is part of the Baldwin Park Unified School District. BPACE was established in 1960 and today serves approximately 3100 students annually.

BPACE offers a wide range of course offerings to improve the the lives of our community. In the career technical education department, students may take automotive services, barbering, cosmetology, electrician, food service, HVAC, medical assistant or pharmacy technician classes. The academic portion of the program includes ESL, adult basic education, adult secondary education, citizenship and older adult programs. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday mornings through evenings at our main campus and a number of sites in the community.

BPACE takes great pride in providing support services that remove barriers so our students can succeed. The Council on Occupational Education issued a commendation in April of this year for "Exceeding the expectations for an Adult Education Program in support services, including free baby-sitting, the Performing Arts Center, and the use of diverse funding sources to provide affordable programs to students."

BPACE employees number approximately 100 including staff, teachers and administrators. They are lead by the BPACE Leadership Team under the direction of our Senior Director, Dr. John Kerr.
